Fall 2022 Tree Planting
Thanks to the 27 volunteers who came out for a beautiful fall day providing so much energy and positive attitude. Kate Lehman of the Town-of-Bath Tree Board has informed me that our in-kind contribution was valued at $2,778 by the WV Division of Forestry. This represents almost 40% of the towns matching obligation to the state. Yea team!
My thanks to the Town-of-Bath Tree Board for coordinating with the WV Division of Forestry to purchase the trees. My thanks to the Warm Springs Watershed Association for planting supplies. My thanks to Tractor Supply (via Foxglove) for spring bulbs (Daffodils/Tulips). And my thanks to CNB for providing bottled water to make sure all volunteers were well hydrated.
The Kwanzan Cherry and the Winter King Hawthorn with the Train Depot as a backdrop should make for a wonderful spring time presentation of the Town-of-Bath (Berkeley Springs) for both visitors and residents when driving into town.
A special thanks to photographers Rebecca MacLeod for the individual action shots and Angela O’Connell for the group picture.
