Make it Shine April 2, 2022
The Town of Bath will once again host West Virginia’s annual Make It Shine event. Local residents, children and adults, are asked to come out to pick up trash on April 2 at 9:30 AM to 12:00 noon at Greenway Cemetery and areas throughout town used by families. Make It Shine trash pick-up will include the North Berkeley Park, the tennis courts and basketball court on Biser Street, and the areas around town near the run and near side roads. “The children do a great job cleaning up their neighborhoods and play areas and the adults the often-visited public areas in town,” said Elizabeth Skinner, coordinator of the event. “We can’t do this activity without the help of both the young and old,” Skinner said. “Greenway Cemetery is an especially good area for the younger children to work. It is safe and away from traffic.” Free gloves, trash bags, and waivers may be picked up at town hall or at the shed in Greenway Cemetery between 9:30 AM and 12:00 noon. Waivers can also be downloaded from the town’s website under the Government tab, forms. The “rain day” is Saturday, April 9, from 9:30 AM to 12:00 noon. Come help!
