Early voting for the Town of Bath election started this morning at 9 AM and will close at 5 PM In the Municipal building at 271 Wilkes St. it will run from May 29, 2019 to June 8, 2019 with no Sunday voting.

The Town and BSWW office will be closed Monday 5/27/19 in observance of Memorial Day. This is a federal holiday in the United States for remembering and honoring people who have died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. The holiday, which is currently observed every year on the last Monday of May, was most recently held on May 28, 2018. Memorial Day was previously observed on May 30 from 1868 to 1970.

Assistance Offered to Help File Annual Reports and Register to Vote;
Secretary of State Announces Mobile Office Hours to Assist Citizens

Charleston, W.Va.— In a new partnership with local government agencies, WV Secretary of State Mac Warner is announcing that a member of his Field Services Team will be available to the public on Thursday, May 16th, to assist Morgan County residents.

Field Representative Lexi Brown will set up a mobile office at Bath Town Hall, located at 271 Wilkes Street in Berkeley Springs. Brown will be available to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. No appointment is necessary.

The purpose of the mobile office services is to assist citizens with filing annual reports and any questions they may have. Field Representatives can also help citizens with online voter registration.

“Our professional Field Team will help make it as easy as possible for the state’s business owners and entrepreneurs to stay in compliance,” Secretary of State Mac Warner said. “Our Field Reps are highly trained individuals and can assist citizens with just about any issue dealing with the state’s Business & Licensing Division.”
Warner reminded citizens that they can also access assistance for annual reports by going online at or by calling (304) 558-8000.

Spring clean up will be April 30, 2019 in the Town of Bath. Please cut the tree limbs to around 4ft and tie them in bundles. Leaves & garden debris can be put in bags and left by the curb. If you have any questions please call the Town office @ 304-258-1102.

The deadline for write-in candidates to file for the Town of Bath General Election is 4/23/19. This is also the last day for Election officials and alternates to be appointed. We still have a couple of positions available for Poll workers. if you are interested please call or stop by the Town office.

There will be a public hearing concerning WV Code 8-12-16 and its acceptance as a Town of Bath ordinance tonight 4/16/19 at 5:30pm in the Town Municipal building. If you are unable to attend it will be live streamed on Town of Bath Morgan County.

Just a reminder. The Town of Bath will hold a brief ceremony celebrating Arbor Day in the town on Monday April 15 at 10:00 am. The ceremony will be held at East Liberty St and will conclude with the planting of our Arbor Day tree 🌳. Hope to see you there.
