Its a beautiful week for yard work! Please have bagged leaves out in the morning this Saturday, December 9th and next Saturday, December 16th. Trucks will be coming around both weekends to pick up bagged leaves for recycling and compost. Yard debris they are unable to get will be picked up by our guys the following Monday and Tuesday each week. We are excited to be able to work with a group from the community garden to compost and recycle the leaves this year. We look forward to finding more ways to reuse our resources to benefit the community.
Mayor Merki and Dave (Mr. Electric) are hard at work this morning restoring power to the poles on the South end of town in time for tomorrow's parade! This will be the first time the lights have been lit in this area in quite a few years. The town is really excited to have worked with the Town of Bath Christmas Project team to bring lighted lanterns back to the South end of town.

Townofbath.org is currently down. Our web developer has looked into it and it appears our site was the victim of a cyber attack or hack on November 10th that has caused huge amounts of damage. We are working to try and restore it from a previous backup. Hopefully that angle will be successful and we can get the website restored. Unfortunately it is unclear how long this process may take. If you need information normally found on the website, please contact us here on our Facebook page or call or e-mail the office. You may use 304-258-1102 firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com to reach us.

Our feel good story of the week. "While many of us were still drinking coffee in our slippers yesterday morning, a few Knights in muddy work boots came to the rescue of a local elderly couple that had been living without water in their home for quite some time. These local hero's heard our plea for help that had fallen on deaf ears at the State and County levels for more than 2 Years. This morning they showed up with their own equipment and supplies and sacraficed a days worth of wages to help complete strangers. They dug and ran an entire new water line to the elderly couples home that have been waiting for more than 2 years for this miracle. They were able to restore water to them before lunch time today! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Thank you Casey Pentoney, Bob Smith and Scott Miller for coming to the rescue when no one else would. Thank you Danielle Swope for organizing this and seeing it through to the end. You are all truly amazing people and have just given an enormous gift to this couple who simply wanted to be able to clean their house and take a shower. The simplest yet most meaningful wish has been granted by a few hard working gentleman with muddy work boots and giant hearts!"
